Info Wine.Dieter@aol.com . ~ ~ ~ SEATTLE TIMES, May 18, 2012: Via Vita, A Euro cafe right at home in Bellevue. By Providence Cicero. Not long ago Jan Lawrence wore a hard hat to work. Now, as proprietor of Via Vita, she wanders from table-to-table at lunchtime in a chef's coat. At night she leaves the cooking to others "more creative" and dons a smart leather jacket to greet dinner guests… Her frequent travels inspired this Euro cafe and wine bar, "an Italian piazza filled with French furniture," housed in a glass-walled corner of Bellevue's Belcarra apartment building… By day, customers cluster at small round tables up front, where daylight pours through windows two-stories high. Larger tables are set farther back, amid honeyed walls hung with art. A curved wine bar rimmed by a curlicued railing becomes a hub in the evening, when cloths drape the stone tables and faux votives flicker in their wire and glass cages… http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/restaurants/2018229356_cicero18.html

Live @ Sapolil - BluMeadows ~ Innovative Groove
Date:
June 29, 2012
Location:
Sapolil Cellars, 15 E Main Street, Walla Walla, WA
Description:
BluMeadows is a descendant of the Mississippi Choctaw Nation and is a ‘magda vehu’, which means ‘Black Indian’. He discovered the magic of music through his voice and guitar, which he picked up left-handed, at an early age and has been determined to follow an unbeaten path. He entered the music scene in Seattle as a precocious musician with a lot to offer. He could play bass, guitar, sing, write and accompany other artists. He performed throughout the Northwest with Dave Lewis, Pete Depoe (Last Walking Bear) and Red Bone. He moved to LA where he wrote, recorded and played with Liquid Jesus on MCA Records and performed with Grammy Award winner Bruce Hornsby. BluMeadows played with Branford Marsallis, Eddie Hazel, the great Funkadelic guitarist, as well as Spacey T, from Sound Barrier and later Fishbone. On one magical night the stars aligned and as a tribute to the Astro Rock Father Jimi Hendrix, BluMeadows fronted a magnificent band called Krunchy that included Spacey T, Eddie Hazel, Stanley E., and Bernie Worrell. http://www.myspace.com/blumeadows 9 - Midnight   Cover: $3
