EVERY SATURDAY @ 1pm, join the Cru @ Forgeron Cellars Downtown Walla Walla Winery & Tasting Room for a Winery Tour & Tasting beginning this Saturday, February 1st! Forgeron Cellars provides wine enthusiasts who are looking for more than just a “Tasting Room” experience, an opportunity to sample some of Washington’s most elegant wines. Located in an old blacksmith shop at 3rd & Birch, Forgeron Cellars is within easy walking distance from Walla Walla’s major hotels and restaurants. As guests tour through the tank and barrel rooms, they are given an intimate look into the mechanics of winemaking while being treated to award-winning red and white wines. Every tour includes insight into Marie-Eve’s winemaking philosophy and how it affects each individual wine’s character and makeup.

I was raised on a small farm in Washington, an artist soul in a family of perfectly normal people. Even though they did not understand, my parents encouraged and tried to support my every crazy artistic idea. My paintings often illustrate my upbringing. Work hard, was always my fathers’ lesson. After my father died, I did a series of paintings of his tools. I believe that they are a more accurate depiction of him than a painting of his face. I also love to paint the quiet peacefulness of a country road or a big unbroken sky. My mother taught me to look up. As we walked the farm, she would say, “look at that sky, look at the colors in that tree”! Always looking. As I continue to pursue the artist’s life, my goals are still the lessons from my parents, work hard and look up.
