About Balsamroot Winery & Vineyard

Located on Ivan Morse Road in the NOrth shore of Lake Chelan, with spectacular views of orchards, vineyards, mountains and lake there is no better place to relax and enjoy a glass of wine. With a winemaking certificate from UC Davis, winemaker Judy Phelps seeks out the best grapes the state has to offer to craft into beautiful and delicious wines. At the tasting room we offer food and aroma pairings with our wine tastings as we believe it should be a memorable as well as a learning experience and folks tell us it is the very best presentation they have ever had. The wines are all made right on the premises and if you are here from the end of September to the first of November you will be in the midst of the actual wine-making as you make your way to the tasting room. Operated with the concept that everyone should feel welcome we have a bucket of toys for the kids that come, room in the orchards for the dog to roam, picnic tables to enjoy your lunch or dinner on, and music on a regular basis to entertain. Our annual Balsamroot festival occurs in April when the arrowleaf balsamroot flower is blooming so plan to visit us then and see the beauty of our namesake.
