About Kestrel Vintners

We opened our winery in early 1999 on three acres in the Prosser Wine and Food Park producing 3,000 cases and now producing approximately 35,000 cases. Our specialty is red wines and we produce a small lot of Platinum, a blend of Gewurztraminer and Viognier, along with Chardonnay and Viognier. Barrel aging plays an important part in our wine production. Our wines are aged one-to-two years in the finest French, American and Hungarian oak barrels and provided bottle aging prior to release. Overlooking the Yakima Valley from 1200’ up the Rattlesnake Slope, the Kestrel View Estate Vineyard is regarded as one of the premier vineyard sites in Washington State. The south block includes some of the oldest Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Merlot vines in the State. In 2003 Wine Enthusiast Magazine identified the Kestrel View Estate Vineyard as “A renowned vineyard, one of the ones to look out for in Washington.” We have two locations, Prosser and Leavenworth. Our Prosser facility has the winery and a recently remodeled and beautifully expanded tasting room, reserve room, and dining gallery. The tasting room offers an imported gourmet cheese case, specialty gourmet retail items, and a friendly and knowledgeable staff. The reserve room and dining gallery are available to host your private or corporate event and we have an on site Event Coordinator to assist with planning every detail.
