DeLILLE CELLARS, Grand Ciel & Doyenne, Doyenne 2007 'signature' Syrah

The 2007 “Signature” Syrah opens with an assertive and lively bouquet of sweet black raspberries, violets, white pepper, lavender, and smoky, earthy tones. The mouth feel is quite large, though still elegant, carrying pomegranate, raspberry, plum, and hints of white pepper and herbes de Provençe on its ample shoulders. The finish is long with the acidity and sweet, ripe tannins in perfect balance. This wine is structured to age beautifully.
