Barnard Griffin Winery, Barnard Griffin Reserve Malbec

Quite aromatic with intriguing black pepper, brown sugar, earth and oak-spice notes. Vibrant acidity lends buoyancy to the bright, youthful, pie cherry, plum and orange fruit. Pair this Malbec with dishes that demand a youthful, racy, full-bodied red wine. Pumpovers 2-3 times daily; pressed at 2-6% sugar; peak fermentation temperature 85 degrees; aged 18 months in old and new European oak barrels. Vineyards: Freepons Vineyard (Yakima Valley), Lonesome Spring Ranch (Yakima Valley)
