Belmonte Cellars, Pandora Red

Winemaker's Tasting Notes - Extremely extracted, driven by dark fruit with huge, rich tannins. It's warm and toasty. A snuggle up to a fire, drink by itself wine. This wine is massive, even though it's primarily Merlot. The aroma and taste is dark fruits; blackberry, cassis, dark chocolate and chateau toasted oak. On the palate, the tannins and ethanol are present but are held up in "balance" by the obvious extraction of fruit. Its tannic structure and tightly-wound pure fruit has us thinking this wine will cellar incredibly well over the next decade. 50% Merlot - Double Canyon Vineyard / 40% Cabernet - Elephant Mountain (Yakima) / 10% Syrah - Double Canyon Vineyard (Horse Heaven Hills)
