This wine is a big burley Syrah with a red licorice nose that is true-to-varietal from this great vineyard. It has a bridging mid-palate of ripe black current and finishes with sweet tannins and chocolate-coconut covered cherries that hangs on. It cries out for well-seasoned grilled Italian sausages topped with caramelized onions and sweets peppers in a toasted bun.
