Made from 100% Merlot, this single vineyard reserve style wine is an excellent example of how much depth and layers of complexity Washington Merlots are capable of. Dark ruby red in color, the wine shows beautifully in the glass. Aromas are sweet, mirroring flavors of cherries, plums, violets, and black currant, with hints of dark chocolate, cedar and vanilla. A big mid-palate mouth-feel is enhanced with firm tannins providing structure with balanced acidity. The finish is long and lingering. Still a young wine in many ways, this wine will continue to benefit from additional cellaring. We recommend decanting for at least one hour prior to serving.
