Our Story

Jacob Williams is a family owned boutique winery located in the beautiful Columbia Gorge and named in honor of Brad Gearhart’s two sons, Jacob and William. For over a decade, Brad and 40+ year wine-making veteran John Haw have dedicated themselves to producing high-quality wines sourced from the finest vineyards in the region.

Currently producing Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Zinfandel and Sadie Red, a special vintner’s blend named after the family dog.

Jacob Williams Winery started in 2007 with a temporary production facility in Hood River, OR and a small tasting room in Lyle, WA. As they grew into an award-winning winery, producing a larger variety of wines, Jacob Williams began building their new barrel room and tasting room out in Wishram, WA next to Avery Park. Now in their third year at this location, they are ready to expand. Phase two opens this summer; a delightful new tasting room with an incredible wraparound patio, capitalizing on their outstanding view. Phase three construction has already begun; adding a well deserved production facility for their wine maker, John Haw.
