We just completed our new Yakima Valley winery, located in Wapato, WA. This 7000 square feet barn-styled winery is our new Yakima home and we expect to grow this property into a place where visitors can meet our crew and taste a selection of our wines. We are happy to welcome visitors to this new site Friday-Monday from 11:00AM - 4:00PM. Continue to check back for more information regarding our plans to add on to the winery and tasting room, harvest news and other Owen Roe events.
This winery is located at the base of our Union Gap Vineyard, which is farmed to Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot and Malbec. Our estate wines include Union Gap Vineyard (red bordeaux-style blend), Union Gap Syrah and these grapes are also used in other proprietary bottlings.
We are also known for our partnership with other Yakima Valley vineyards such as Red Willow Vineyard and DuBrul Vineyard, and Oregon vineyards for our Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris production. Our temporary Oregon Tasting Room is open to the public by appointment. As we finish up our Yakima Valley winery project, we are planning out our new Oregon winery and hospitality home. This extensive project will take place in 2014 in our 100-year old nut drying barn. Stay tuned on our website and social media pages for up to date news.
