This wine was aged for 23 months in 60% new French oak. Composed of all free-run juice, it is black in the center, dark red to the rim. This wine smells like a bowl of plums and black cherries, surrounded by fresh ground coffee beans. It is rich and ripe in the mouth, with flavors of currants, more cherries and blackberries, and surrounded by a cloak of finely grained tannins.
