Our Story
Tagaris' Alice Vineyards and our organic Michael Vineyards are both located in the Wahluke Appellation of Washington State and are planted to exotic varieties including Carmenere, Cinsault, Cabernet Franc, Muscat Caneli, Barbara, Sangiovese, Malbec, Counoise, Petit Verdot, Mourvedre, and traditional varieties of Pinot Gris, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Riesling.
Located in the Columbia Valley Appellation of Washington State, Tagaris' Arete Vineyards is notably cooler than other Washington vineyards. It is situated high above a valley on the crest of a hill, at an elevation of 1,300 feet. This ideal climate is similar to European vineyards, allowing the grapes to hang on the vine until they are at full maturity. The result is grapes that produce intense color and flavor. Arete Vineyards is 45% organic.
