Vashon Island-grown. Young vines produced a fabulous wine in 2006 and a more difficult wine in 2008. It is lighter than Oregon Pinot Noirs but the first vintage, 2006, was really remarkably European because it was lighter with perfect acidity. Lots of cherry-raspberry fruit, good acidity to balance the delicate but definite fruitiness on the palate with a nice full mouthfeel; all of that defining a good Pinot Noir. We look forward to this grape maturing and producing richer, fuller wines.
