This is a complex wine combining fullness with defined fruit and leafy characteristics. There is a bit of breadiness from the small oak barrel fermentation and the lees contact. There is the roundness of the grape balanced by slightly vegetative acids and flavors. It is pear-like with lemon and jut a hint of tomato leaf, kind of fresh grass. We like this wine with black cod or halibut, served with diced tomato and cilantro. And, as a bonus, this wine can age forever; out-aging many other winery's red wines. It's true!
