2014 Road Trip Itinerary

Day 1

Sunday, September 21st

Emerald City Welcome

We look forward to welcoming everyone to the Emerald City! Enjoy the many stunning tourist and gastronomic options Seattle has to offer before a lovely Welcome Reception and dinner with world class Washington State wineries.

All Day: Room check-in and Road Trip registration at Edgewater Hotel (Lobby)

4:00 pm: Hop the Shuttle from Hotel to Welcome Reception at the Space Needle

4:20 pm: Washington Wine Primer at the Space Needle

5:00 pm: Welcome Reception with the Regional Tasting (Woodinville/Puget Sound)

6:30pm: Depart Space Needle for dinner

7:00pm: Dinner at Local 360

9:00pm: Head back to the Edgewater Hotel

Day 2

Monday, September 22nd

Woodinville to Richland

Start with a bang right in Seattle's backyard! Woodinville is nestled in the Sammamish River Valley and offers over 90 wineries. After lunch we will ease our way across the state to Richland, just in time for a northwest sunset and dinner!

Yakima & Red Mountain / Columbia Valley

The Yakima Valley and Red Mountain AVAs are home to a wide range of grapes, terroirs, wineries and wine styles to explore first hand in the vineyards. Then, we will make our way to Red Mountain for winery exercises, and later a tasting and dinner in the heart of the vineyards.

This Eastern Washington winery hotspot is home to a cache of big and small wineries, in name and stature. Take in the majestic vineyards, savor our last wine seminar, enjoy a fabulous lunch and get to know the winemakers.

Bask in our last hooray in the Horse Heaven Hills! Enjoy the warm heat of Southeastern Washington while taking in the vineyard views. We will make our way back to the Tri-Cities for lunch and a group hug. Take, take me home...with Washington wine forever on my mind.

7:00 am: Wake-up call, luggage drop & breakfast at your leisure in the Marc Restaurant (Seattle Espresso available at luggage drop-off)
