The Economic & Fiscal Impacts of Wine & Wine Grapes in Washington State report is an update to the previous economic and fiscal impact analysis, using data from 2014-2018 on wine production, sales, employment, and other key indicators.
- Washington wineries generated an estimated $2.4 billion in sales in 2018, making wine the top agricultural product by sales value in the state. Since 2013, wine sales have grown twice as fast as the overall economy.
- In 2018, the production, distribution, and sale of wine and related wine tourism activities in Washington directly or indirectly supported 36,500 jobs, and had a total economic impact of $8.4 billion.
