  • Apex Cellars Chardonnay

    • A beautiful yellow-gold color, the 2010 Chardonnay is extremely integrated and refined. The nose offers intense aromas of lemon mousse, clarified butter, spicy oak and mineral. Great acidity balances the rich, creamy mouthfeel, giving this wine multiple dimensions. Flavors of citrus oil and caramel persist throughout, finishing with persistence.

  • Apex Ascent Merlot

    • Tasting Notes

    • Ruby red in color, medium intensity; aromas of raspberry and cherry fruit mingle with fresh baked oats, vanilla and cinnamon. Plum and cherry pastry flavors are delivered in a round and generous palate with soft tannins and a lingering finish. Extremely approachable, soft and inviting, this is great, easy-drinking Merlot.

  • Apex Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon

    • Deep ruby core progresses to a dark garnet rim; the color is intense and indicative of a great vintage that is marked by fruit forwardness and elegant tannins. Aromatically this wine is complex displaying cassis, bright raspberry, strawberry preserves and vanilla spice. The oak is perfectly balanced by fruit, which tastes of dark cherry, black currant and vanilla cream.

    • Young, primary ruby in color, te 2009 Ascent Cabernet Sauvignon delivers sweaty red and blue fruits of cherry, raspberry and blueberry backed by sage, toasted vanilla, cured meat and pepper. The palate is round and seductive with plush, well-integrated tannins that frame in the flavors of black cherry and blueberry; slightly toasty oak acts to support the fruit rather than standing on its own.

    • A blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Merlot, this wine is quite complex with an explosive nose of cassis, leather and brown spice; fresh mint and cured meat. The palate is well-structured with good weight, yet with an impressive fruit-tannin balance and a ripe/toasty finish. Flavors of dark cherry and baking spice linger on the finish.

Round, supple tannins make this wine immediately enticing.
