In the early 90's we planted an experimental vineyard on the North Shore of Lake Chelan. With lessons learned we set out to find a location to grow Pinot Noir. We purchased 8 acres on the cooler South Shore in December of 1999.

    • 2010 CHELAN ESTATE PINOT NOIR, ESTATE VINEYARD The 2010 vintage followed the warmest vintage (2009) to date with a cool and damp spring and mild summer. September’s perfect weather pulled the vintage through and extended hang time, developed fully mature grapes with great flavors and balance. This wine has the traditional dark color our vineyard provides, expressive dark cherry, cranberry and oak spice aromas. Expansive ripe fruit layers across the center palate with a very long finish accented by cola and vanilla. We know how much our customers loved the 2009 Pinot Noir. It was big, dark, rich, ripe and long. The 2010 is lower in alcohol, lighter in weight, better acidity and has more of the classic Pinot Noir aroma, texture and varietal character than any of our past wines. 100% Pinot Noir. 390 cases produced.

    • 2013 CHELAN ESTATE MERLOT, ESTATE VINEYARD The 2013 was a near repeat of the warm 2012 vintage. Estate Merlot grapes were harvested on October 9th. (One day earlier than the 2012 Merlot harvest) The normal cool-down in September brought the grapes to full maturity, ripeness and flavor. The warm season also brought the Estate Syrah in perfectly ripe and full of spicy flavors and was added to the Merlot in December. Dark, nearly black color, dark cherry and blackberry aromas with a hint of vanilla and spice. Ripe, black fruit flavors, broad full palate, gentle silky tannins and a long finish. 9% Estate Syrah in the blend adds a spicy accent. A full bodied, rich Merlot that will age and develop for many years. 91% Merlot, 9% Syrah. 295 cases produced.

    • 2013 C E VINYARDS CHARDONNAY-ROUSSANNE-VIOGNIER, CHELAN ESTATE VINEYARD AND STILLWATER CREEK VINEYARD The heat backed off somewhat in 2013 from 2012 making this vintage on the warm side of average. Our white blend is built on the apple fruit flavors of Chardonnay. Roussanne adds melon, fig and texture. Viognier lifts the entire wine with stone fruit aromas and a citrus fruit laced center. All result in a fresh and fruity dry white wine with a clean finish. All of the grapes for our white wine blend are sourced from the Chelan Estate Vineyard and the Stillwater Creek Vineyard. 48% Chardonnay 31% Roussanne 21% Viognier. 204 cases produced.

    • 2013 C E VINEYARDS RESERVE RED, STILLWATER CREEK VINEYARD, COLUMBIA VALLEY All varieties were early in 2013. Normally Petit Verdot is the last picked around November 1st. In 2013 the grapes were ready and harvested on October 19th. Stillwater Creek Merlot is the foundation of the blend but the quality of the Petit Verdot changed the ratio to almost 50-50. The wine has the red fruit and grace always found in Stillwater Creek Merlot. The Petit Verdot drives black fruit, structure and power making this wine the best of all worlds. Power, balance and grace. 55% Merlot, 45% Petit Verdot. 215 cases produced.

    • 2013 C E VINEYARDS PETIT VERDOT, COLUMBIA VALLEY The 2013 Petit Verdot is the most approachable example of Petit Verdot (at this age) we have yet produced. This new style Petit Verdot is a result of the viticulture practices at Stillwater Creek and growing experience with this grape in the winery. Dark, black color, ripe blackberry fruit with hints of blueberry and chocolate on the long finish. Firm but not overwhelming acidity. The 2013 Petit Verdot can be enjoyed now in its youth. Nevertheless we are sure the firm acidity and structure found in this wine will carry it through many more years. 95% Petit Verdot, 5% Merlot. 46 cases produced.
