In the early 90's we planted an experimental vineyard on the North Shore of Lake Chelan. With lessons learned we set out to find a location to grow Pinot Noir. We purchased 8 acres on the cooler South Shore in December of 1999.

    • 2012 C E VINEYARDS RESERVE RED, STILLWATER CREEK VINEYARD, COLUMBIA VALLEY The 2012 vintage came back from the cool 2010 and 2011 vintages to a warm year nearly as hot as 2009. Cooling down in September, Estate Merlot grapes were harvested on October 10th in perfect condition and ripeness. Dark, nearly black color, dark cherry and blackberry aromas with a hint of vanilla and toasty oak. Very ripe, dark fruit flavors, broad full palate, layered, long finish. 8% Estate Syrah in the blend adds a spicy accent. A full bodied, rich Merlot that will age and develop for many years. 92% Merlot, 8% Syrah. 322 cases produced.

    • 2009 CHELAN ESTATE PINOT NOIR, ESTATE VINEYARD The 2009 vintage was the warmest on record at our vineyard. Mid-summer had several days over 100 degrees resulting in the ripest Pinot Noir we have produced. You will first notice the very dark color more like Merlot or even Cabernet. The aromas of dark fruit and spice jump from the glass. The center is layered with dark cherry, black raspberry and cranberry. Bold and full of ripe fruit that finishes with spice and a hint of vanilla and licorice. 100% Pinot Noir. 311 cases produced.

    • C E VINEYARDS 2012 PETIT VERDOT, STILLWATER CREEK VINEYARD. Changes in viticulture practices and modified processes at the winery can produce a unique and extraordinary wine. We believe our 2012 Petit Verdot is a good example of Petit Verdot as its own wine. Dark, black color, black cherry aromas, ripe blackberry fruit with hints of blueberry and chocolate on the long finish. The difference between this wine and previous Petit Verdot from our winery is it can be enjoyed now in its youth. Be assured the firm acidity this grape is known for will carry it through many more years. 95% Petit Verdot and 5% Merlot. 112 cases produced.
