Our tasting room and winery are located south of Walla Walla with a stunning view of the Blue Mountains. All of our wines are produced, cellared, and bottled in our new state of the art facility surrounded by our Whistling Hills estate vineyard.

  • 2007 Columbia Valley Malbec

    • Malbec once a little known grapes has risen up from the ashes of obscurity and become one of the worlds fighting varietals. This Malbec is our own personal tooth stainer. Rich fruit character of plumbs and lychee fruit mingle with violets and Malbec’s signature note of white pepper. Smooth and seamless on the palate makes this wine dangerous! It is so enjoyable to drink you won’t be able to stop with just one glass.

  • 2008 Sobra (Red Blend)

    • 49% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot, 6% Malbec, 5% Carmenere, 4% Petit Verdot, 2% Cabernet Franc Deep, dark and opulent are the best words to describe our 2008 Sobra. This is easily the finest bottle of Sobra we have put together. The first whiff off the nose is of roasting meats followed closely by sweet wild cherry. As the wine opens the aromatics evolve into pine needles, vanilla, crème brulée and finishing with stewed plumbs. On the palate this full bodied wine fills the mouth with richness that transforms into lingering tannins. With bright and well integrated acids this wine will easy age well over the next ten years.

  • 2010 Rose du Syrah

    • Classic Rosé aromatics of strawberry ruhbarb and cream lead the nose to notes of white peaches and subtle hints of lemon zests. Nice biting acidity transforms into a creamy mouth feel on the finish. Perfect for the summer BBQ or lounging around in the sun!

  • 2010 Clifton Vineyard Viognier

    • Overview

    • Tasting Notes

    • Tropical notes of lychee fruit and citrus hit the nose followed by aromatics of pears and sweet tarts. As the wine opens, Viognier’s signature floral aromas reveal orange blossom, lavender and honey suckle. Beautiful viscosity and bright acids tickle the tongue. This wine is a great thirst quencher and wonderfully refreshing on a hot summer’s day.

  • 2007 Horse Heaven Hills Cabernet Sauvignon

    • Tasting Notes

    • Aromas of sage, eucalyptus, and black currant. The flavors are rich and loaded with cocoa butter, milk chocolate, and lavender with clean silky texture. Finally this wine lingers with chewy tannins, cedar and a wooly finish. Will age well for the next 10 years.

  • 2008 Excelsior Walla Walla Valley

    • This is Excelsior’s debut vintage. A blend of Cab, Cab Franc and Merlot, this wine will haunt you. Loaded with tarragon, chocolate covered cherries, and black currants. It lingers with vanilla and dusty tannins that leave you with a nice overall mouthfeel. The fruit shines through all the way to the end with more dried cherry. The wine will benefit from aging over the next 10 years.

  • 2008 Carménère Phinny Hill Vineyard

    • Tasting Notes

    • Carmenère has a great story. Once thought to be extinct, it was rediscovered in Chile and is now making a huge impact in the rest of the world’s growing regions. Our Phinny Hill Carmenère is loaded with aromas of exotic mole spices, tobacco, and cracked black pepper. Its smooth mouth feel is rich with chewy tannins. The finish is long with elements of coffee grounds and dark chocolate. This wine will age nicely for the next 10 years.

  • 2009 Lonesome Spring Ranch Grenache

    • Tasting Notes

    • Packed full with berry aromas of raspberry, red currants, and strawberry jam. These aromatics give way to subtle notes of cinnamon, crème de cassis and dusty rose petals. On the palate mellow tannins mingle with bright acidity and rich viscous mouthfeel that leaves you wanting more. This is the perfect wine for an outdoor BBQ especially with grilled salmon.

  • 2008 Les Collines Vineyard Tempranillo

    • Overview

    • Tasting Notes

    • This Tempranillo has a beautiful aromatic nose filled with dark chocolate, cranberries, sandalwood and a touch of wet stone. The mouth feel was big, rich, and round with chewy tannins and a slight lychee element. The finish is long and lingers with chocolate covered berries. Even though at only 7%, the Petit Verdot adds extra grip to the structure of this wine. Our 2008 Tempranillo is a great combination of old world finesse meets new world style. Serve with braised meats, exotic spices, stews and roasted chicken. The structure and complexity of this wine really lends itself to be paired with food.

  • 2007 Merlot Pepper Bridge

    • The nose is packed with aromas of sage, red currant, and milk chocolate. Rich flavors of dark cherries and tobacco rush over the palate intermingled with floral notes and hints of vanilla. The texture is smooth but packed with tannins and transforms into a lingering velvet finish. For the more patient, you will be well rewarded by additional cellaring for the next 5-7 years.

  • 2007 Les Collines Syrah

    • The first whiff of this wine reveals aromas of coco butter and bacon fat transforming into dried cherries finishing with a salt brine. On the palate there is tantalizing acidity evolving into a rich round mouth feel that finishes with milk chocolate.

Come visit us during harvest! Our tasting room has large windows that look down into our production area where you will see our winemaker working diligently on the 2013 vintage! We are one of the only tasting rooms with seating!
