Our Story

Founded in Woodinville in 2000 by Lance Baer, the goal was to produce something different - lush fruit-forwards blends that reflected his passion for Washington wines. Inspired by the unique expression of Bordeaux varietal grapes grown in Washington soil, his vision and skills drove the winery to become one the state’s premier producers in just a few short years.

The entire production takes place at the Woodinville warehouse winery, with 100% of the fruit coming from Stillwater Creek Vineyard, located just north of Royal City in the Columbia Valley. The vines were planted in 2000 on a steep hillside, producing fruit of an unparalleled quality.

Following the unexpected passing of Mr. Baer in 2007 (at the age of 39), his sister Lisa and father Les took the reins of the winery. Together, they continue Lance’s passion, managing the production along with Erica Orr, as consulting oenologist.
