Dogs Invited to Yappy Hour at Wenatchee Valley Winery

Yappy Hour is being held every Friday from 5-8 PM through October and has a $5 cover charge with all proceeds benefitting the Wenatchee Humane Society. Yappetizer hors d’oeuvre specials and no-host wine bar are available for humans and dog treats are provided by Petco. Adoptable pets looking for a home are brought by the Wenatchee Humane Society to play and enjoy the festivities. An average of 60-70 dogs attend weekly and the winery has placed several dogs in loving homes as a result of these events.

Lavender Celebration Tour of Wineries

new hidden gems - six award winning artisan wineries on the scenic North Olympic Peninsula. Tickets for this self guided tour are available in advance or at the door for just $25.00 and entitle you to a special commemorative wine glass and complimentary wine tasting at each winery during this 10 day event. Ticket and glass packages sold at the participating wineries during the event are available on a first come basis. Tickets are not required and you may visit any winery and participate by paying a small fee at each establishment. Get your ticket stamped at all 6 wineries and be eligible to enter our gift basket drawing. While children are allowed in the tasting rooms, you must be 21 or over to purchase tickets and/or participate in wine tasting. All ticket sales are non-refundable. Be sure and visit us at the Wine & Beer Garden at the Festival Street Fair during the Lavender Festival July 17, 18, & 19, 2009. The Street Fair is located in downtown Sequim at the south end of the food court, close to the performance stage and the buses for the farm tours. A selection of two wines from each winery will be available for tasting, by the glass or to purchase by the bottle.

Over 13 restaurants will serve over 7,000 free bite size feasts throughout the weekend. One of Cave B’s largest summer events, the Annual Red Wine Release event is a true wine country experience. This public event will feature the release of Winemaker Freddy Arredondo’s prized red wines, including the Bourdeaux blend Cuvee du Soleil, and a frequent top-scoring Syrah. Guests are invited to participate in any or all of the following activities: The day will kick-off with the first-ever “Cave B People’s Choice Rating Event”: an opportunity for contestants to taste and rate different varietals.
