The Washington State Wine Commission Board of Directors awarded more than $1 million in research grants for the upcoming year for the statewide grape and wine research program and its own grant program. The Board approved 17 projects totaling $1,067,000, for the upcoming fiscal year (July 2024-June 2025). The projects approved are funded through the statewide program administered by Washington State University that combines contributions from WSU, Washington State Wine Commission, Auction of Washington Wines and state liter taxes (1/4 cent per liter of all wine sold) and through Washington State Wine Commission’s own grant program.
