The Washington State Wine Commission Board of Directors awarded more than $676,000 in research grants for the upcoming year for the statewide grape and wine research program and its own grant program. The Board approved 12 projects totaling $676,090 for the upcoming fiscal year (July 2025-June 2026). The projects approved are funded through the statewide program administered by WSU that combines contributions from Washington State University, Washington Wine, Auction of Washington Wines and state liter taxes (1/4 cent per liter of all wine sold) and through Washington Wine’s own grant program.
