Farming is not what we do. It is who we are. What was once Schmidt Orchards, planted by our grandfather, Phil Schmidt in 1951, became Copeland Vineyard that we planted with our uncle, Ron Schmidt, in 2000. Four generations of Yakima Valley farming later and this place becomes part of who we are. Today we operate 300 acres of vineyards and 100% of our wines come from our estate acreage. We offer a versatile collection of estate grown wines. Our unique “working facility” exudes a welcoming, approachable and educational experience for all wine-lovers. Becoming Washington State’s first certified sustainable vineyard not only validates our efforts as growers, but reminds us of how fortunate we are to be surrounded and supported by an incredible team that is committed to making the right decisions for our land, our planet, and our customers. Our name, Two Mountain Winery, was inspired by the majestic views of Mt. Adams and Mt. Rainier, which serve as the backdrop of Copeland Vineyard. This place is pretty special to us, and we hope that it shines through in every bottle.
